Residential homes, daycare centres, health centres, opticians and dental practices across Northern Ireland are being encouraged to enter the SuperValu Best Kept Health and Social Care Facility Awards before the May 28 deadline.

The awards are organised by the Northern Ireland Amenity Council (NIAC) as part of the overall Best Kept Awards scheme sponsored by SuperValu. Entries will be judged from June to August and Northern Ireland’s Best Kept Healthcare & Social Care Facilities are to be acknowledged at a ceremony in September.

The award categories are Best Kept Day Care Facility; including Day Centres, Training Centres and Resource Centres, Best Kept Residential Facility; including Hostels, Children’s Homes and Elderly Persons Homes and Best Kept Healthcare Facility; including Health Centres and Clinics. Category winners in each of the five Health and Social Care Trust areas and a sixth band of entries from private facilities receive a personalised sign, a perpetual trophy and a monetary award and the entry with the highest score takes a ‘Best of the Best’ title.

Entry forms are available from NIAC on 9040 3681 or visit www.niacbestkept.com for more information.
