SuperValu Randalstown has been running an innovative in store promotion along with 6 local schools; Randalstown Central P.S, Mount Saint Michael’s P.S, Groggan P.S, Creggan P.S, Maine Integrated P.S, and Moneynick P.S called “Cash for Schools” since October.

The school loyalty scheme, due to come to an end in June, will see the total points accumulated by shoppers converted into cash which the schools can use to buy whatever equipment is needed by the schools to enhance their facilities.

Shoppers and school children are able to collect points for their school by presenting a special bar-coded key ring, at the till in SuperValu Randalstown.  These key rings were issued in the six participating schools but can also be obtained from the store. It is anticipated that SuperValu Randalstown will be running the scheme again from September 2008 until June 2009, showing the stores continual commitment to supporting the local community.
