Kathryn Shaw and Stuart Williamson, both 10, from Howard Primary School, Moygashel join NI Amenity Council president Doreen Muskett MBE and SuperValu Brand Manager Jackie McCloskey, to do their bit for wildlife at the launch of the 2008 SuperValu Best Kept School Awards. The Northern Ireland Amenity Council (NIAC) and sponsors SuperValu are encouraging more schools to take part in the environmental scheme. There are three award categories, based on the number of pupils - small (up to 150 pupils), medium (151-500) and large (over 500). Category winners and runners up are selected in each of the five Education and Library Board areas, and judges also choose an overall Best Kept School for Northern Ireland.
Over 200 schools took part in 2007. More information is available from NIAC on 9040 3681 or at www.niacbestkept.com
