The Investors in People standard is one of the most respected awards for quality that any organisation can achieve and is designed to advance an organisation’s performance through its people. The IIP award is a tried and tested business tool that assists organisations to develop the knowledge and skills of their people, so that the business can achieve its objectives.
Martin McBrearty, Manager SuperValu Strabane said: “We realise when we as a business invest in the development of our people, everybody wins. The ongoing development of our staff provides them with many opportunities to further their potential. The fact our employees find SuperValu Strabane a great place to work is reflected within the store through a low level of staff turnover, high levels of customer service and operational standards which exceed the industry norm.”
“Not only does this achievement give our store a competitive edge through improved performance but, our customers will receive an even better service, proving that we put the customers first”
This is the second time SuperValu Strabane has achieved the Investors in People Award.
Developed in 1990 by a partnership of leading businesses, the Standard helps organisations across the UK to improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of their people.
