Patsy Trolan, owner of the SuperValu store in Ballymoney, and Action Cancer’s Kerry McCrea announce the fourth annual Trolan’s SuperValu Golf Classic fundraiser in aid of the local charity. Patsy, the Trolan family and the team at the store are organising the event, which takes place on Thursday July 2 at Portstewart Golf Club. They aim to raise thousands of pounds towards Action Cancer’s Big Bus screening and health promotion unit, and this year an additional attraction has been added to the event – a Casino Night.

SuperValu and its independent retailers across Northern Ireland are the main sponsors of the Big Bus and have pledged over £600,000 to the unit. Trolan’s SuperValu in Ballymoney has donated more than £113,000 to Action Cancer since 2003.

Since SuperValu started supporting the charity, over 20,000 people have used Action Cancer mobile services, including 7,500 women who have been screened for breast cancer on the Big Bus.
