Pea shoots are full of Vitamin A, C and Folic acid and so easy to make at home. They are great eaten raw as a snack or tossed into salads, pasta or stir fries or soups and taste just like fresh peas.
Step 1
Use a flower pot, or punch holes in the bottom of a medium sized recycled plastic container
Step 2
3/4 fill with compost and sprinkle 8-10 peas (any dried pea will do) over the top
Step 3
Cover with compost, water well and place in sunny spot indoors or outside
Step 4
Keep moist but not wet
Step 5
In 20-30 days you should have perfect pea shoots. Simply cut about 3 cm up (above first set of leaves). They will then regrow. ENJOY!
