Big Community Giveaway

SuperValu and Centra are giving away £40,000 to 40 groups in the Big Community Giveaway.

Launching on 30th October, SuperValu and Centra shoppers can nominate a local charity or organisation that has made a real difference in their community. We want to know why they deserve to win £1,000 in time for Christmas and what the funding would go towards. Applications will remain open until Friday 8th December and 10 winners will be announced each week beginning 27th November until 18th December.

Terms & Conditions

The application/nomination process opens on Monday, 30th October 2023 and closes at 12 noon on Friday, 8th December 2023 – no exceptions.
Once you have submitted your nomination/application it cannot be amended.
By completing this application, you acknowledge you are applying for a one-off grant, and you accept your application might not be successful.
The judge’s decision is final.
We cannot give individual feedback on unsuccessful applications.
Your group must not be run for private profit.
Applications for projects that involve the following will not be considered:
- promoting any political activities or causes
- promoting any religious beliefs (but we will consider projects led by religious organisations, if they’re for the good of the whole community)
- exclusively paying salaries or other running costs
- giving our grant to other people or organisations (onward grant making)
- projects that have already happened or will be finished before the giving period ends
- projects that public authorities (for example, the council) are responsible for, by law
- sponsored events
- overseas projects
- projects which, in our opinion, could harm the reputation of SuperValu or Centra
Entry is strictly over 18’s.
The promoter is Musgrave Retail Partners Northern Ireland.
Musgrave Retail Partners Northern Ireland is the sole sponsor of the promotion and holds sole responsibility for promotion management.
The competition is open to residents of Northern Ireland only, excluding employees of Musgrave Retail Partners Northern Ireland, their families, agents or anyone else connected with this promotion.
No purchase is necessary. Entry is free. Entries remain valid until 8 December.

Ten successful groups will be announced each week for four weeks beginning 27 November. Total number of recipients is 40. Groups can only win once.
Successful groups and charities must share details of their bank account in order that payment can be made. The prize is non-transferable.
Musgrave Retail Partners Northern Ireland will contact the winners via email and / or telephone.
In the event that a group cannot be contacted or does not respond within 24 hours to the winner notification, an alternative winner will be selected from entries.
Successful groups will agree to participate in a photograph for PR and marketing purposes, including for use in print and online media, and social media.
Persons entering the competition will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
